Moleman on the job

A Moleman inspects a small tunnel, in pursuit of a fleeing vandalism suspect. Unfortunately the suspect managed to escape down a nearby waterway.

It seems that an epidemic of vandalism has erupted in the town since the onset of The Blues. Both the police and Molemen have had their hands full.

Boar, Conspiracies and Missing Limbs

The name of the book was Medieval Wild Boar Hunting Technique by someone named Francis Frimler, published 1942. Lady Bumbridge thumbed through the dusty pages and admired the lavish illustrations, especially those involving the skinning and butchering of the beasts. The book was one of many on offer to the clientele of Hair Hitler, as a distraction to be utilised while getting one’s hair cut or styled. Although brothers Grant and Shane Hitler took great pains to rotate and augment the selection of titles, it was clearly more for their own enjoyment than that of their customers. Yes, for most people a visit to Hair Hitler was just as much about non-stop gossip laden conversation with the brothers, as it was about a good hairstyle. Nevertheless Lady Bumbridge was an exception. She always took great interest in the books, often taking notes and occasionally even borrowing a volume.

What is Area 12?

Deep in the maintenance tunnels running below Calverley Passage, lurks the mysterious Area 12. While only Council and Guild employees are allowed in these tunnels, the doors to Area 12 have an additional Level 3 cryptolock, forbidding access to all but executive level Steam Guild members. Speculation on the area's purpose has filled the gossip columns of The Subterranean for years, despite the Guild denying that it even exists. Clearly this photo, taken by a council refuse engineer, seems to say otherwise.

His Ex-Kentish Ex-Girlfriend

Beau Ghee, writer of sex-adventures and part-time sleuth, bashed away at his manual typewriter and typed in the remaining words, “the end”. He leant back in his squeaky office chair with kaftan-covered arms behind his greasy head and smiled smugly to himself. He couldn’t help thinking that Helpless Buxom Women would be a published success. He could feel it in his bones, and in his groin too.
